I feel like skirts can quickly become too feminine, and I thought that the skirt I would design would be so utterly simple that it couldn't be hard to find elsewhere. This season, I realized that I myself couldn't find what I was picturing. I worked to create the most pared down version of this garment - nothing less and nothing more than exactly what was needed. Midi in length to show some leg but also provide modest coverage, a generous hem to add a luxe weight and body to the fabric, just enough gathering to add fullness and movement at the hip but not become bulky at the waist. Pair at Marta crop and go out for a walk in the city
